Directions: North on Avenue D; past Franz Road, approx. one mile & veer right at "Y" onto Katy Hockley Road, one tenth mile to Morton Road intersection; turn left/west on Morton Road, the home is nine tenths mile west of the Buffalo Bayou bridge; one tenth mile west of Lakes of Katy Road on the west side of the addition; house setback approx. 40 yards off Morton on the south side (note significate change in street numbers upon entry into Waller County)

Marker Text: This home was originally built in 1899 by Will Shapley for Mr. & Mrs. Will Brand. In 1905 Mr. & Mrs. Ed Brand, son of Mr. Will Brand, moved in to care for his father. Descendants of the original owners resided in this home for years, including Mrs. Minnie Brand Peek. In 1972 Mr. Andrew LeBlanc and Lois Minze LeBlanc purchased the home, moved it to 27523 Morton, where they remodeled and restored it. (unmarked)
